Pop Up CaféFirst of all, a massive THANK YOU to all who attended, baked for, helped with, donated towards our first Pop Up Café last Saturday.
When we opened up the café that morning, little did we know that lightning had a secret admiration for our cause. In a flash of electrical enthusiasm, it decided to join the fun and put on a spectacular show of its own and caused a power cut.
Despite the abrupt end, we managed to raise a dazzling total of £225 towards the maintenance of the Hall.

We’ll do it all again on Sunday July 23rd from 10-2pm.
This time on a Sunday, as a trial to know what day is the best day to go forward with these.
So mark your calendars, set a reminder, and keep everything crossed for a sunny day  :-)Yorkshire Rewilding Network and rewilding in GalphayJohn Creedon made us aware of the Yorkshire rewilding network, as there is a rewilding project ongoing in the Galphay area.
Laver House on Missies Lane is part of this network in their aim to rewild 13 acres of their land.

On  the Yorkshire rewilding network website it states:
“We want to bring Rewilding to the forefront in Yorkshire by connecting like-minded people across the region. Whether you’re actively rewilding or learning about it for the first time, our network is a place to share ideas and experiences, find out about projects near you, learn more about ways that you can get involved and be inspired to take action”

National Three Peaks – Message from Sarah HenryThe 22nd June was the day I was supposed to be walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for Active Against Cancer.

As many of you know AAC has had such a positive impact on my dad’s quality of life whilst living with cancer and undergoing gruelling treatment.

Breaking my ankle during training has meant that I am unable to walk a mile today, let alone 24.5 miles up and down three mountains in Yorkshire.
This is not going to stop me raising funds for this brilliant cause. On October 2nd I am going to take on the bigger challenge of completing the National Three Peaks.

It’s going to be a hard 3 months of rehab and training but it will be worth it. The money raised will help support AAC to continue providing this vital service to those with cancer 💪🏻.

I would be really grateful if you would please consider sponsoring me via the link below .

Thank you in advance for your support 🙏🏻.
